This short walk crosses a steep valley gradually carved into the limestone by the Suin, a small stream that dries up in summer. The limestone plateaus above the valley are covered in orchids in spring.

Between Fontgombault and Lurais, the Creuse stretches out through varied scenery. On the left bank, the circuit reveals a more secretive ambiance in the shade of box trees. On the hillside, the dry-stone walls trace linear paths leading to Fontgombault Abbey.

Oulches was once divided into three parishes: Pezay-le-Joli, Saint-Nazaire and Oulches. As you cross each of these hamlets you will discover the wooded valley of the Brion and the local history, in particular that of the lime kilns.

The forest of Luzeret and La Lande contains a labyrinth of shady paths. From coppice to mature forest, from a lake to arable land, walkers will follow in the steps of the lumberjacks who lived alongside the wolves that were once present in the area. This circuit travels through rolling countryside in the heart of the Abloux valley, where fields are divided up by hedgerows, large oaks offer their shade to sheep and the river provides a touch of coolness. At the end of the route, enjoy a moment of relaxation at the lake.

Men used these 4 elements for crafts (tileworks and lime kilns) and industrial activity (forges), still visible today and thanks to which the local economy thrived right up to the late 19th century. The hamlet of Jovard and its Romanesque chapel complete this historic circuit.

This short walk climbs the limestone hillside of the Anglin Valley along paths lined with dry stone walls, with wide range of wild orchids to be admired in spring. A popular rock climbing site, the Rocher de la Dube is also a reminder of ancient human activity.

This walk in the deciduous forest of Tours-Peuilly, which belongs to the Hersent-Luzarche family who also own the Château of Azay-le-Ferron, offers surprising points of interest including a monument to the resistance, a pond tucked away in the undergrowth and views of the Haute-Touche reserve.

It is here in Belâbre that the Anglin turns from a rushing torrent into a peaceful river with pleasant walks along its banks. During the walk, discover the mill races, forges and mills that punctuate the route which alternates between sunken paths and river banks.

This circuit offers a variety of flat and undulating landscapes. It will lead you along country paths from fields to impressive buildings and also passes via Luzeraise forest. The coolness and lush vegetation in the bottom of the valley contrasts with the dryness of the calcareous grassland.

This circuit passes the Abloux stream and in particular its forges. The route, a little challenging, undulates through the hills and offers a panoramic view of the valley. In the distance, Chazelet and it’s château, although fortified, seem very small.

First off, the circuit follows a section of old railway line that is now a Green Lane, alongside the Creuse river which can be glimpsed through the vegetation. It then ascends the hill. At the top, it follows a windy path through woodland.
