Description
You'll make your way through a mosaic of woodland, meadows, fields of crops, ponds and farmland with hedges. While in no way challenging, the trail does climb the hillsides that remind us that the foothills of the Massif Central are not all that far off! The landscape is also marked by the Anglin valley and myriad châteaux, mills and houses in limestone or blond sandstone nestling within. You'll see how important sheep farming is here. Make a point of stopping off at Château Guillaume - an astonishing castle right out of the Middle Ages with its machicolations, arrow slit windows and crenels...
