Description
This gently sloping trail links up the Creuse and Anglin valleys, running along quiet country roads to Angles-sur-l'Anglin in the Vienne. We highly recommend you set aside a few hours to stop and explore this striking village overlooked by the ruins of its castle. Don't miss the viewpoint over the Anglin valley, the Maison des jours d'Angles and the Roc-aux-sorciers, the "Lascaux" of sculpture. Hop off your bike for a while to visit the Interpretation Centre and see a reproduction of parietal sculptures dating back to the Upper Paleolithic which were unearthed not far from here. Enjoy a bucolic trip back with a stunning view over the Creuse valley.
