Acoustic ecology and identification of european Bats - Copie

The acoustic identification of bats has become common place in bat studies. However fully automated systems are not relevant in all cases and require a considerable number of manual checks. This week-long workshop in the lovely Brenne lakes region in the middle of France focuses entirely on in the field acoustic methods, following a scientific program developed in France since 1988. This method is based on manual species identification, combining in the field listening in heterodyne and time expansion with computer analysis, along with integration of the behaviour of the individual bats studied. This method will provide the observer with a deeper knowledge and understanding, allowing them a greater capacity for action and reflection at all stages of collection, processing and interpretatio
